About the Customer

Founded in 2010 by Tal Frankfurt, Cloud for Good is a Salesforce implementation partner and Certified B Corporation built on the belief that technology should amplify impact. The firm has delivered more than 2,500 implementations for nonprofits, health care organizations, higher education institutions, financial services firms, and state and local governments, including work with 35% of the largest U.S. nonprofits and 75% of R1 universities.

Backed by strategic investment from Tailwind Capital and Salesforce Ventures, Cloud for Good set out to build an India team that operated as part of the company, not along side it.

The Challenge

Cloud for Good was at an inflection point. The company had set a goal of more than tripling in size and revenue over four years, and was shifting from a delivery organisation to an IP-backed one — which meant funding a team whose only job was building intellectual property. Neither move worked on a North America hiring plan alone. The company needed to scale fast with consultants who already carried Salesforce and consulting experience, fund a dedicated IP team the delivery bench couldn't be pulled into, and have the India team run on one set of Cloud for Good values from day one. Most global capability centres stall exactly here: hiring outpaces onboarding, leadership lands months late, and the centre settles into being a staffing pool.

The Journey: Blueprint to Scale

Rather than one long build phase, the partnership has moved deliberately through four stages, each handed off cleanly to the next: Blueprint, Launch, Maturity, and Scale.

  • Blueprint

The earliest work wasn't hiring. It was alignment: standing up the GCC structure, syncing with Cloud for Good's North America team on how the two organizations would operate as one, and setting up the Innovation Hub in parallel with core delivery so IP development started from day one.

  • Launch

Launch brought the operating model to life: aligning with Talent Acquisition, People, Digital Experience, and IT Ops, standing up hiring and sales enablement, and bringing in experienced consultants who could go billable within about a week rather than months. Early work also included building out practice leadership, a Talent for Good pipeline, and shared pre-sales and practice vision across every vertical.

  • Maturity

As the partnership matured, the work shifted from project-based delivery to enterprise and managed-services engagements, with new practices opened in financial services and public sector. AI adoption reached full coverage across the team, and the focus moved deliberately toward strategic outcomes: faster time-to-value,agility and speed, global reach, and lower dependency on external vendors.

  • Scale

Today, the partnership runs full end-to-end, full-service delivery, with new service offerings and continued practice development. What began as extra delivery capacity has become a genuine second engine for Cloud for Good's growth.
