ServiceNow Solution Architect

We are seeking a ServiceNow Solution Architect to join our delivery team and lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions.


While the title is Solution Architect, this is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate is someone who can seamlessly balance architecture with development—designing robust solutions while actively contributing to implementation, solving complex technical challenges, reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and engaging with business stakeholders.


You will work closely with customers, architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring successful delivery across multiple ServiceNow programs.


In addition, you will drive innovation by leveraging ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist and AI Agents, to enhance automation, productivity, and user experience.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Architecture & Solution Design

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions across multiple business domains.

  • Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs and implementation strategies.

  • Lead architecture discussions while remaining actively involved in technical implementation.

  • Define platform architecture, data models, integration patterns, and reusable technical frameworks.

  • Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices, enterprise architecture standards, and long-term scalability.

  • Design AI-enabled solutions using ServiceNow Now Assist, AI Agents, and intelligent automation capabilities.

  1. Hands-on Development & Technical Leadership

  • Actively contribute to ServiceNow development, configuration, customization, and platform implementation.

  • Guide engineering teams on scripting, platform capabilities, development standards, and technical best practices.

  • Review code, provide technical feedback, and ensure high engineering quality across delivery teams.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support engineers in resolving critical implementation challenges.

  • Drive adoption of modern development practices, reusable components, and platform optimization techniques.

  • Ensure solutions are maintainable, performant, secure, and aligned with engineering best practices.

  1. Platform Implementation & Optimization

  • Lead implementations across key ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, FSM, and CSDM-aligned architectures.

  • Optimize existing implementations for scalability, performance, maintainability, and user experience.

  • Drive platform governance, development standards, and technical consistency across projects.

  • Build and guide teams in implementing intelligent virtual agents, conversational workflows, and AI-powered automation.

  1. Integration & Platform Engineering

  • Design and implement integration strategies between ServiceNow and enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.

  • Define scalable data models aligned with CSDM and enterprise data governance standards.

  • Ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable integrations across business systems.

  1. Technical Delivery & Collaboration

  • Partner with business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, and delivery teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and implementation planning.

  • Participate in customer discussions, provide technical recommendations, and support solution delivery.

  • Balance technical leadership with hands-on execution throughout the project lifecycle.

  1. Engineering Excellence & Mentorship

  • Mentor developers and technical consultants through architecture guidance, code reviews, and best practices.

  • Establish engineering standards, reusable assets, and implementation frameworks.

  • Promote continuous improvement through technical coaching, knowledge sharing, and innovation.

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaborative problem-solving.


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, including architecture and enterprise implementation.

  • Strong expertise across ITSM, CSM, FSM, CSDM, and Core ServiceNow platform capabilities.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.

  • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, scripting, customization, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and platform automation.

  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, application design, and technical implementation.

  • Experience with enterprise integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.

  • Strong understanding of platform governance, security, scalability, and engineering best practices.

  • Experience reviewing code, mentoring developers, and driving technical quality across engineering teams.

  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support engineering teams during complex technical challenges.

  • Experience working in client-facing consulting environments with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.


Certifications

Preferred certifications include:

  • Certified System Administrator (CSA)

  • Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM

  • Certified Implementation Specialist – CSM

  • Certified Application Developer (CAD)

  • Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Highly Preferred

  • Certified Master Architect (CMA) – Optional

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing multiple ServiceNow modules including ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, or SPM.

  • Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities including Now Assist and AI Agents.

  • Experience with Agile delivery environments and DevOps practices.

  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise platforms and cloud environments.

  • Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

  • Experience mentoring engineering teams while remaining an active technical contributor.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, code quality, and modern development practices.
