Senior Salesforce Consultant

About Cloudsmith

Cloudsmith is building the operating system for the modern software supply chain.

We run a global, fully managed, multi-tenant SaaS platform that helps organizations, from startups to the Fortune 500, secure, govern, and distribute software artifacts at scale.

Worldwide, our customers use Cloudsmith as a critical infrastructure control plane for CI/CD, developer workflows, security controls, compliance, and software distribution, supporting 30+ formats and ecosystems across languages, containers, and operating systems.

We recently raised our Series C to accelerate Cloudsmith 2.0: deeper artifact intelligence, stronger policy and provenance, faster package-aware delivery, and infrastructure built for engineering teams, as well as the modern AI-driven software factory.

By developers, for developers: we care about craft, architecture, and enterprise scale.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our team owning end-to-end development and solution execution on the Cloudsmith Salesforce platform.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to design, build, and optimize scalable Salesforce solutions. You will be responsible for managing the platform delivery lifecycle while ensuring high standards of performance, security, and usability.

This role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical expertise, stakeholder management, and an ownership mindset, as you will work directly with business teams across departments to translate requirements into impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development

  • Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • Own end-to-end development and delivery on the Cloudsmith Salesforce platform

  • Translate business requirements into well-architected, maintainable solutions

  • Enhance and optimize existing implementations for performance, scalability, and security

Agentic Ownership & Developement

  • Agentic Ecosystem Design: Lead the architecture and deployment of Salesforce Agentforce to automate complex, multi-step business processes across the organization.

  • Command Center Orchestration: Position Salesforce as the central hub for AI, designing "actions" that allow Salesforce agents to trigger workflows and retrieve data from external tools (e.g., Gong, Slack, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).

  • Data Grounding & Strategy: Architect Salesforce Data Cloud to ensure agents are "grounded" in real-time, high-quality metadata, preventing hallucinations and ensuring brand-aligned outputs.

  • Custom Tooling: Develop custom Apex actions and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to extend agent capabilities beyond out-of-the-box functionality.

  • Governance & Guardrails: Establish the security framework and ethical guardrails for AI agents to ensure they operate safely within our business logic and compliance standards.

Platform Ownership (IC Role)

  • Take full ownership of development, customization, and enhancements on the Salesforce platform

  • Manage releases, deployments, and environment coordination

  • Ensure system stability, performance, and adherence to best practices

Integration & Architecture

  • Build and manage integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware

  • Collaborate with architects on solution design and enterprise architecture decisions

  • Ensure secure, scalable integration patterns

Stakeholder Management & Client Collaboration

  • Work directly with business stakeholders across departments to gather and refine requirements

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users

  • Participate in client discussions, solution walkthroughs, and delivery updates

  • Support presales and solutioning discussions when required

Code Quality & Best Practices

  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following Salesforce best practices

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards

  • Contribute to reusable components, frameworks, and engineering standards
