.Net Software Architect

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Architect (.NET) to join a strategic modernization initiative focused on transforming legacy .NET applications into modern cloud-ready solutions.


This role requires strong architectural thinking, deep .NET expertise, and the ability to deliver technical solutions with minimal oversight independently. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex modernization challenges, writing production-quality code, and working with emerging AI-powered development tools.

Key Responsibilities

Application Modernization & Development

  • Modernize legacy .NET Framework applications (.NET Framework 4.x) to modern .NET (.NET 8 and beyond).

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and cloud-ready application architectures.

  • Write high-quality, production-ready code and participate actively in development efforts.

  • Refactor existing applications into modern service-oriented or microservices-based architectures where appropriate.

  • Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services.

AWS & Cloud Engineering

  • Work with AWS services to support application modernization and deployment initiatives.

  • Leverage AWS modernization and Generative AI tools, including Amazon Transform, to accelerate migration efforts.

  • Participate in cloud architecture discussions and technical solution design.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful cloud adoption.

Software Engineering Excellence

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development and testing environments.

  • Implement automated testing and quality assurance practices.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

  • Apply engineering best practices related to performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members when needed.

  • Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making.

  • Clearly communicate technical approaches and modernization strategies to stakeholders.


Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding expertise.

  • Deep expertise in C# and modern .NET development.

  • Experience working with both Legacy .NET Framework applications (4.x) and Modern .NET platforms (.NET 6/7/8+)

  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and application architecture principles.

  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

  • Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

  • Ability to independently own and deliver technical workstreams with minimal supervision.

  • Experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts.

  • Experience using Generative AI-assisted development tools such as:

    • Amazon Q Developer

    • GitHub Copilot

    • Cursor

    • Similar AI coding assistants

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications (Associate or Professional level).

  • Experience with AWS application modernization initiatives.

  • Experience using Amazon Transform or similar code transformation tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code frameworks.

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Prior consulting or customer-facing project experience.

  • Experience leading technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
