GCC Practice Lead – Data & AI / Salesforce
We are looking for a dynamic and execution-driven GCC Lead to establish and scale our Global Capability Center (GCC) operations. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic leadership, operational excellence, and stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in either Data & AI or Salesforce ecosystem, along with exposure to multiple cloud technologies/platforms. The individual will play a critical role in building teams from scratch, defining operating models, harmonizing GCC processes with BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) playbooks, and driving long-term growth and delivery excellence.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on setting up scalable processes, creating engineering culture, and enabling the GCC to evolve into a strategic capability hub.
Key Responsibilities:
GCC Setup & Strategic Growth
Lead the establishment and scaling of the GCC aligned with business and technology objectives.
Define and implement the GCC operating model, governance structure, and delivery framework.
Partner with global leadership teams to build long-term GCC strategy, growth roadmap, and capability expansion plans.
Drive organizational maturity by setting up scalable processes, metrics, and operational best practices.
Support BOT transition initiatives and harmonize GCC policies with existing BOT playbooks and delivery standards.
Technical Leadership
Provide deep technical leadership and hands-on delivery oversight across one or more of the following domains:
Data & AI Ecosystem
Expertise in AI/ML engineering, Generative AI, LLM integrations, MLOps, Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Advanced Analytics.
Strong experience with modern data platforms and cloud-native architectures such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, Airflow, and Spark.
Understanding of model deployment, vector databases, AI orchestration frameworks, real-time data pipelines, and scalable enterprise AI solutions.
Salesforce Ecosystem
Strong expertise across Salesforce clouds including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce architecture, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, Flow Automation, API integrations, middleware platforms, and enterprise-scale CRM transformations.
Experience driving multi-cloud Salesforce implementations with focus on scalability, security, governance, DevOps, and release management.
Cloud & Enterprise Technology Landscape
Strong understanding of multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP with exposure to cloud-native services, containerization, Kubernetes, serverless architecture, and infrastructure automation.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), monitoring, observability, and platform engineering.
Drive enterprise architecture discussions, technical governance, engineering best practices, code quality standards, security compliance, and scalable delivery frameworks.
Lead adoption of modern engineering practices including automation, AI-assisted development, Agile delivery models, platform modernization, and innovation-driven solutioning.
Team Building & Capability Development
Build and scale high-performing engineering and delivery teams from scratch.
Drive hiring strategy, talent planning, capability mapping, and workforce development.
Establish a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, learning, and accountability.
Mentor leads and managers to create a future leadership pipeline within the GCC.
Process & Operational Excellence
Set up delivery processes, performance governance, SOPs, reporting mechanisms, and operational KPIs.
Ensure alignment across recruitment, onboarding, project delivery, compliance, and employee engagement processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery, operations, and stakeholder management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and global business stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a strategic liaison between GCC teams and global leadership, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery goals.
Drive proactive stakeholder communication, fast decision-making, and effective resolution of operational, hiring, and delivery challenges.
Define and govern SLAs, escalation frameworks, and accountability mechanisms across GCC operations and delivery functions.
Present delivery updates, hiring progress, growth plans, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership through data-driven insights.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless GCC operations and business alignment.
Foster a high-responsiveness culture focused on execution excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of overall experience with strong exposure to GCC/Offshore Delivery/Engineering leadership.
Proven experience in setting up or scaling teams and operational processes.
Strong technical expertise in either:
Data & AI technologies, OR
Salesforce ecosystem and cloud solutions.
Exposure to multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model and GCC operational frameworks.
Experience in driving delivery governance, process transformation, and operational maturity.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous, and growth-oriented environments.

Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
Exposure to AI-led delivery transformation and automation initiatives.
Prior experience in GCC setup for product engineering, consulting, or managed services organizations.
