Salesforce Technical Architect

We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect with 10+ years of experience to own the end-to-end technical vision, architecture, and governance of our Salesforce ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of solutioning, technical leadership, and stakeholder management — translating complex business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce architectures across multiple clouds and integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the overall Salesforce solution architecture (data model, security/sharing model, integration architecture, and platform scalability) across projects/programs.
  • Lead architectural reviews and design governance for Apex (Queueable, Batch, Service Layer pattern), LWC, and integration components built by development teams.
  • Architect and oversee complex integrations — REST/SOAP callouts, webhook consumption, and middleware orchestration (e.g., Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft-class tools) — across Salesforce and external systems (SFMC, Workday, ERP, and other third-party APIs).
  • Drive technical decision-making on platform strategy, including multi-org/multi-cloud considerations, AppExchange tool evaluation, and build-vs-buy decisions.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership across product, QA, and engineering teams, ensuring quality engineering practices and innovation are embedded into delivery.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for clients, presenting solution designs, addressing risks, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Mentor Technical Leads and Senior Consultants on best practices, code quality, and architectural patterns.
  • Own technical documentation, including solution design documents, integration blueprints, and data migration strategies.
  • Stay current with the Salesforce release roadmap and proactively recommend platform and ecosystem improvements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 6–7 years dedicated to Salesforce architecture and solutioning.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering at least 2–3 large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce implementations.
  • Strong hands-on background in Apex, Triggers, SOQL/SOSL, LWC, Visualforce, and Salesforce administration (Flow Builder, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Formula Fields).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing integrations (REST/SOAP, webhooks, middleware orchestration) and working with platforms like SFMC, Workday, Boomi AtomSphere, or Workato.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with product, QA, and engineering leadership.

Qualification & Skill:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Salesforce Architect-track certifications strongly preferred (Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect / CTA).
  • Additional certifications: Platform Developer I & II, Integration Architecture Designer, Sharing & Visibility Designer.
  • Tools exposure: Visual Studio Code, Bitbucket, Workbench, Jira, Conga, Avalara, Docusign, Postman.
  • Strong communication and client-facing solutioning skills; ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
  • Experience with data migration strategy, solution designing, and user story grooming at a program level.
