We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying modern web applications. The ideal candidate must have mandatory expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with Python or a similar language as a critical secondary skill. You will work closely with solution architects and engineering teams to build scalable, cloud-native applications and reusable components that support client delivery and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot, utilizing Python or a similar scripting language to enhance backend processes and automation.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and automation scripts using Java and Python or a similar language.
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to deliver maintainable, production-ready solutions aligned with business requirements.
Develop reusable components, libraries, and automation utilities to improve engineering efficiency.
Integrate applications with enterprise systems, third-party APIs, databases, and cloud services.
Utilize Python or a similar language as a secondary skill for scripting, automation, data processing, or backend services where applicable.
Follow coding standards, security best practices, and documentation guidelines to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Deploy and maintain applications on AWS using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize applications for scalability and performance.
Work closely with architects, product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
Contribute to proof-of-concepts and technical spikes to evaluate new technologies and frameworks.
Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and software engineering best practices.
Contribute to reusable engineering assets, frameworks, and automation initiatives that accelerate project delivery.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of software development experience.
Mandatory proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with both Python and Java.
Essential secondary skills in Python or a similar language for application development and task automation.
Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and modern DevOps practices.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Broad expertise is a plus; proficiency across every technology listed is not required.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to cloud-native application development.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or integrating AI APIs is a plus.
Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is an advantage.
